Nash Partnership - Environmental Policy
Nash Partnership are independent estate agents and letting agents. We have offices in Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead and Tring and employ over 30 people. The business has been built on a hard-earned reputation for service and we are committed to getting the very best results for our clients, every time.
Nash Partnership is committed to being an ethical business and environmentally responsible. We aim to understand our environmental impact at every level and throughout all aspects of our business.
To this end, we are pleased to confirm our achievements to date include:
- In April 2007, we replaced approximately 25% of all our office lighting to low energy bulbs.
- In June 2007, we made a commitment to install recycling points throughout our offices. The Tring office became our first branch to install such points
- In July 2007, we became England’s first CarbonNeutral® estate agency
- In August 2007, we backed Tring town’s bid to become a FairTrade Town.
- In August 2007, we made a commitment to switch to 100% renewable electricity at all our offices by the end of 2008. Later that same month, the Hemel Hempstead office became our first office to sign-up to 100% renewable electricity from Good Energy.
- In September 2007, we became the UK’s first estate agency to be accredited as an Ethical Company, by the Ethical Company Organisation.
- During August and September 2007, we changed over to recycled paper and card for at least 75% of our printed stationery, leaflets, brochures etc.
We are now working hard to implement the following commitments:
- Use recycled paper and card for at least 85% of our printed stationery, by the end of 2008.
- Encourage and support Berkhamsted town’s bid to become a FairTrade Town.
- Switch to 100% renewable electricity at our remaining offices, at the end of current supplier contracts. In any event, conclude this commitment by the end of 2008.
- Install recycling points at our remaining branches and widen our recycling policy where possible.
- On an on-going basis, replace standard lighting with low energy versions where possible, in all offices.
- On an on-going basis, provide training and raise awareness of our environmental responsibilities among our staff.
